Live Music – Vanessa Finney Duo

Vanessa Finney was a lifelong resident of southern California before moving to Ashland in 2018 to join family. Her previous work as a vocalist has primarily been with pianists in cabarets and restaurants, and she is excited to now be reinventing and expanding her jazz repertoire with a talented guitarist.
Mark Hamersly’s wealth of performance experience includes tenures with the iconic Santa Cruz dance band Wally’s Swing World and the Salsa dance band Tocara, as well as sharing the stages at San Jose Jazz Festival and Monterey Jazz Festival with the likes of Wynton Marsalis. His knowledge of Brazilian styles in Jazz lets him deliver an authentic Bossa Nova/Samba experience that makes audiences sway.
