Kacie Bowers is originally from Southern California where she studied musical theater and performed in several productions. She recieved a B.A. in Theater from The University of Utah, and also studied a year at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. Since living in the Rogue Valley, Kacie has been the lead jazz vocalist with Band du Pays Swing for 6 years. As well as singing lead vocals with Stardust, she is also a featured vocalist with The Paul Schmeling Trio every other Monday evening at Martinos Restaurant in Ashland. An exciting opportunity came her way in September 2017, when she was invited to sing as a guest vocalist with several different bands at The Southern Oregon Music Festival in Medford. A love of jazz was instilled in her by her father who himself was a jazz pianist. He introduced her to all the great torch singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Julie London.
Originally from New York, and educated at the famous Summerhill School in England, Michael Barth has played music, on and off, through most of his life. Starting as a singer-songwriter in London in his twenties, and then playing old Rock and Country in the Rogue Valley in the eighties, Michael Barth now plays mostly in jazz groups here locally. “Music has been such a great part of my life and I love to share it with others and experience the adventure and exploration of jazz new and old.”
Tim Church studied classical guitar at San Jose University and jazz composition at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, CA. Tim has played music at public venues in the Rogue Valley for the past 33 years. In California, Washington, Idaho, and Oregon, Tim has played instrumental guitar as a solo performer, as well as playing in Gypsy Swing, Western Swing, Rock and Roll, and Jazz bands. Tim’s latest venture~the trio “Stardust”~ has been together for about a year and is acquiring a loyal following.
