Live Music – OPUS 3

OPUS 3 is a unique, interactive jazz piano trio that takes unusual material and makes new jazz arrangements and vehicles for improvisation from it. They play David Scoggin’s original compositions, jazz classics and original jazz arrangements For this special Christmas performance, they will be playing Scoggin’s somewhat quirky arrangements of familiar Christmas (and one Hanukkah) songs including: A minor salsa Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, gospel O Holy Night & Silent Night, jazz-waltz Winter Wonderland and Greensleeves, upswing Santa Claus is Coming to Town & Let it Snow, New Orleans R&B Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel, and early jazz Sleigh Ride, among others.
