Born in the namesake town of one of Johnny Cash’s catchiest tunes, Jackson, Kat Man D brings humor and hospitality from the deep southern states of Mississippi and Louisiana. The Kat sports an eclectic song list best described as organic and toe tapping with extra grits and gravy, including offerings of traditional mountain music and train ballads, Jimmie Rodgers, Roy Acuff, & Carter Family, together with pleasing renditions of country classics by Cash, Haggard, Hank, and George Jones. D’s own original songwriting approach is a tasty bit more of an Americana ‘Neil Young’ style.
