Live Music – Greta Gariner
February 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
When she’s not doing yoga, hiking around in the mountains searching for new creeks, or working as a farm hand, Greta loves to write acoustic soul/folk music with her guitar and banjo.
She grew up in Jackson, Wyoming, and Billings, Montana, so don’t be surprised if it gets a little country sometimes!
She has spent many years of her life living abroad and traveling the world. She spent her senior year of high school in Uruguay, South America. She spent two of her college years in Lyon, France, and she speaks both Spanish and French and loves to weave those languages into her music.
She is also a practicing yogini, and much of her music is inspired by yoga philosophy, the earth, and Sanskrit mantra.
Her past projects include an Ashland, Oregon, based rock band called Lost Maven where her roles were singing, songwriting, playing rhythm guitar, keys, and bass.
She was also a member of an Applegate, Oregon, based live electronic jam band called Organik Time Machine. Her roles were, vocals, live bass, synth bass, and percussion.
Greta’s music is an eclectic mix of her life travels, languages, and wide range of genres that she plays with. However, she is best summed up as acoustic soul/folk.
