Live Music – Bishop Mayfield & Friends

Bishop Mayfield was born in N.Y.C and has been singing since the age of 5. He has been a fixture up and down California & Canada since 1966. Bishop is currently appearing with noted guitarist & songwriter Dave Storie in the powerfully dynamic “Bishop Mayfield & Friends Band” (O& Friendsriginal, R&B, Funk, Blues-Rock, Fusion) based in Southern Oregon.
Dave has a long and rich history with his music, at a very young age his mother would sneak him into country & western “Honky Tonks” to hear the local “pickers” so he could see and hear how the country guys picked, also sharing her record collection of Johnny Cash, Buck Owens, Elvis & Ray Charles.
David is a very talented and skilled drummer who has been performing with a variety of different bands in many venues here in The Rogue Valley over the years. These venues includes: The Britt Festival, The Jackson County Fair, Battle of The Bones, & The Oregon Wine Experience to name a few.
Mike was born and raised in Oakland, CA, where he started playing cello in 3rd grade, switching to stand up bass in 6th grade. Playing in school orchestras gave way to bands in garages and at public events after getting his first bass guitar.
